Born only four years and 50 miles apart, Georg Friedrich Handel and Georg Philipp Telemann are two of Baroque music’s most bountiful composers. Handel, who lived 74 years, composed nearly 30 oratorios and close to 50 operas. His concerti grossi are some of the most highly regarded pieces in the genre. Telemann lived to be 86 years old and is credited in the Guinness Book of World Records™ as the most prolific composer of all time — topping-out near 3,000 compositions. For one night only, join Berwick Academy for a edifying sample of these two vital Baroque icons.
