Kaitlin Gaynor is a dedicated educator and arts administrator with a passion for music festivals and student development. A Chicago native, Kaitlin’s love for pre-professional music programs began with transformational experiences as a student at Interlochen (2016) and the MPulse Institute at the University of Michigan (2018). Since then, she has remained deeply involved in the festival world, working as a summer counselor at Interlochen and later serving as Director of Residence Life at the Aspen Music Festival.
Kaitlin holds a B.A. in Music Education and Arts Administration from Michigan State University, where she also served as a Resident Assistant. She currently teaches 5th grade and high school band in the Chicago area and performs with the West Suburban Flute Orchestra. This fall, she will relocate to Detroit to begin a new role teaching band and choir at the high school level in the Detroit Public Schools.
Kaitlin brings warmth, leadership, and a deep understanding of festival life to her work with SFYCA.
