Organ Institute Class Components

OBF’s Organ Institute is a unique opportunity for elite organ students from around the world to immerse themselves in the study of their instrument, while building vital relationships with other emerging artists in the field.

Activities Include:

  • Daily master classes with Paul Jacobs, Director of the Organ Institute
  • Seminars in organ technique and performance
  • Exploration of Eugene area organs, including the famed Brombaugh Op. 19organ at Central Lutheran Church and the Hochhalterorgan at First United Methodist Church.
  • “Organ Crawl” excursion to Portland, Oregon
  • Free attendance to select Oregon Bach Festival concerts
  • A final recital by Organ Institute participants

Cost:

Application fee: $30

Organ Institute relies on the continued generosity of our donors to provide tuition-free access to all accepted participants. Room & board are also provided for the entirety of the program. Participants are responsible for travel at the beginning and the end of the season.
