PacificSource Partners with Bach Festival for COVID-19 Concert

“Since 1933, PacificSource Health Plans has been dedicated to the communities we serve. The people that make up the fabric of our community, are also the people who look to us as their pathway to getting the care they need, for themselves and the ones they love. That’s always been a big responsibility, and one we do not take lightly.

When the pandemic hit we quickly recognized that the community must come together and we had a role to play. We knew that not only were our members looking to us for support, but also our staff and the frontline healthcare workers who were now putting their lives in danger to provide the care we all need. We’ve taken numerous actions to support our providers, staff, members and communities during this pandemic, and we will continue to lend our support until this disease is eradicated.

We are proud to support Oregon Bach Festival’s An American Mosaic, which honors the parents, caregivers, healthcare providers and many others who have been both tireless and tenacious during this difficult year. Music truly is the universal language. It connects us all, and has the power to bring us together no matter our diverse backgrounds. We hope that this program provides listeners a moment of remembrance, reflection, and hope for the future.”

Oregon Bach Festival will offer the world premiere performance of An American Mosaic on December 6, 2020 at 2pm. The piece, commissioned by OBF and composed by Richard Danielpour, features a series of piano shorts reflecting on the COVID-19 pandemic, and will paint instrumental portraits of Americans who have heroically served and suffered during this global crisis. Celebrated pianist Simone Dinnerstein will perform the 15 piano miniatures.
